The MAGNOLIA WATERWORKS is a public water system subject to regulation under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Those regulations require the notification of customers whenever a violation occurs, and is the basis for this notice.
The water system failed to meet the requirements of the Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Water Operator Licensing during September 2019.
The Rules and Regulations of the Arkansas Department of Health requires each public water system to use the services of a qualified operator. A qualified operator is defined as a person holding an appropriate valid Water Operator’s License based on the type of water system and population served.
The system will remain in violation until the requirements of the Rules and Regulations pertaining to Water Operator Licensing are met.
Failure to meet this requirement does not necessarily mean that the water is unsafe or that alternate sources of water should be used.
The water system has obtained the services of a fully licensed operator and has since returned to compliance with all State and Federal regulations.
